SheEO Foundation
SheEO Foundation is a women-led social impact organization dedicated to empowering marginalized women and youth entrepreneurs in Kenya. They operate in key regions, including Kiambu, Kajiado, and Kibra (Nairobi slums). We plan to expand to the coastal regions of Kilifi.
Their mission is to drive financial inclusion, enterprise growth, and digital access, ensuring that grassroots entrepreneurs can thrive despite systemic barriers.
Their multidisciplinary initiatives include microloan disbursement (with a waitlist evidencing strong demand), survivability and growth tracking, and storytelling to amplify success. SheEO maintains strong governance, transparency, and data-driven reporting, supporting our fundraising and partnership engagement.
Business Challenges:
Rapid growth and expansion to multiple cohorts increased the complexity of their program delivery, reporting, and resource allocation. They faced capacity gaps in scaling operational processes, standardizing reporting, and defining clear workflows to support financial inclusion and impact measurement. Additionally, as a lean, impact-driven team, they needed stronger systems to ensure organizational sustainability and scalable growth without losing agility.
“Working with Evelyn Kimani and the team at Amini Business Consulting has been nothing short of transformational for SheEO Foundation. What Evelyn brought to the table was clarity, deep, strategic clarity.”
Objectives
Strengthening Internal Systems:
Mapped out core workflows, built performance review tools, developed dashboards, and introduced efficient reporting structures.
Enable Team Capacity & Onboarding:
Co-facilitated capacity-building sessions and supported recruitment and onboarding by providing tools, guidance, and structured processes for the first program officers.
Enhance Digital & Operational Efficiency:
Advised on digital tool adoption to improve communication, data tracking, and operational alignment with global best practices while honoring the organization’s community-driven roots.
Result and Benefit
Improvement in organizational efficiency
Enhanced quality and timelines in reporting to stakeholders and donors
Strengthened team capacity, morale, and accountability at both leadership and field levels.
Increased sustainability and readiness for scale, evidenced by successful expansion
“Evelyn didn’t just consult; she co-built. She challenged us, stretched our thinking, and always anchored the work in outcomes. If you’re a founder or organization looking to get serious about scale, sustainability, or operational coherence, this is the kind of strategic partnership you want.”
